OK Tigrod 16.95 is a bare, corrosion-resistant, chromium-nickel-manganese welding rod for welding austenitic stainless alloys of the 18% Cr, 8% Ni, and 7% Mn types. It has general corrosion resistance similar to the corresponding parent metal. The higher silicon content improves the welding properties such as wetting.
Corrosion resistance is of secondary importance when joining dissimilar materials. The alloy is used in various applications across the industry, such as joining austenitic, manganese, work-hardenable steels, armour plate, and heat-resistant steels.
